Krofile LLC ("Krofile", "we", "us", or "our") operates the krofile.com website and the Krofile platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services. Please read this policy carefully. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for an account, create a digital card, subscribe to a plan, or contact us. This includes: your name, email address, job title, company name, profile photo, social media links, and billing details (processed by Stripe, we never store your card number). We also collect usage data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and time spent on the platform. This data is used to improve our services and is never sold to third parties.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Krofile platform; process transactions and send related information including purchase confirmations and invoices; send promotional communications (you may opt out at any time); respond to comments and questions; monitor usage patterns and analyse trends to improve your experience; detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities; and comply with legal obligations.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform (such as Stripe for payment processing, AWS for hosting, and analytics providers), provided they agree to keep this information confidential. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
Your Public Card Data
When you create and publish a Krofile card, the information on that card (name, job title, contact links, profile photo, social links) is publicly accessible via your card URL. This is the core function of the service. If you wish to make your card private or unpublish it, you can do so at any time from your dashboard. Unpublished card data is not publicly accessible.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or compliance purposes. Analytics data may be retained in aggregate, anonymised form after account deletion.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; object to or restrict our processing of your data; request data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
